This project opens a new door for eBikes due to a seeing assistant-system. Research is about monokular computer vision for the development of a cyber-physical assistant system for eBikes. Main objective is to improve safety in traffic situations by avoiding collisions from opening car doors (“to be doored”).
Furthermore the methodology can be used for recognizing and mapping of surface, finding gaps and bumps. This system improves the efficency of eBikes.
By researching and adaption of complex algorithms for a mobile solution, this is also an answer on the new role of humanity in personalized individial traffic.
